Australia Zoo

Bankfoot House
 
Established in 1868 by William and Mary Grigor as a roadside accommodation house on the new road from Brisbane to the Gympie gold rush, Bankfoot House is the oldest surviving building in the Glass House Mountains. The house became known as Bankfoot House after a village in Scotland, the birthplace of Mary Grigor.
Glass House Mountains
 
Glass House Mountains Township is about 6 kilometres north of Beerburrum and 4 kilometres south of Beerwah on Route 24. It is the home of the Glass House Mountains Visitor and Interpretive Centre, where you can plan your visit to the region with the help of the interpretive materials, brochures, maps, accommodation information and the friendly staff. There are public toilets with disability access. The Centre is open 7 days a week 9:00am - 5:00pm.
